Stability and self-reliance through shelter.

Habitat for Humanity is a local nonprofit organization in Batesville, Arkansas.

We help families achieve the dream of homeownership by working with local sponsors, volunteers, and church partners to build affordable homes.

About HFHIC

We’ve built seven affordable homes for families in Independence County since our organization started in 2007!

Owning a home is an out-of-reach dream for many hardworking people in our community, and yet a suitable, affordable home is a fundamental need. Our goal is to help fill that gap.

We do not give away homes. Our families pay for their houses two ways: first, through sweat equity invested in the building process (of their own and others’ houses); second, through a zero-interest low mortgage payment to our organization. These families, and their monthly payments, help build additional houses for other families.
